Autumn is such a perfect season, although it leads into winter (which I hate) it means we can start a whole new style wardrobe. Get in. I’m dog sitting at the moment, this is Jefe (pronounced Hefay) – his owners are in Italy and so I’m getting all the cuddles from this gorgeous and very cute French bulldog, and what better way to embrace this temporary addition than doing a few blog posts with him in.
In London it’s a constant stream of blue skies this autumn, so I’m lucky enough to keep my mens street style and fashion still relaxed from summer with thinner shirts, but teaming them with lined bomber jackets and boots. I find when thinking about what to wear in the morning, I’m picking staples such as black skinny jeans, easy to pull on suede boots and teaming it with a shirt (as I’m sure you can tell from the images at the top of my blog – I love a stripe!).
I picked up this mens H&M stripe shirt the other week in London, a grandad collar is the dream for smart casual and the neutral stripe ensures it goes with almost anything.
I’ve had this Superdry bomber jacket for a while and picked it up just as we moved into summer. I actually didn’t get chance to wear it much as the months got so much hotter. Now, it’s in full swing. Being lined with this amazing tartan fabric it contrasts with a stripe or another pattern in a shirt perfectly – I love pattern clashing like this – it’s an easy way to swag up your street style fashion look.
These mens Russell and Bromley Chelsea Suede boots were a birthday present to myself. I’ve worked hard enough I deserve them! I actually took my inspiration from friends Nick Grimshaw and Jamie Laing who both have the YSL suede boots, sadly my budget doesn’t stretch to those (sob) BUT these boots fit the job perfectly. I find they make my mens fashion outfit more rock and roll, and where I would normally wear mens pumps or fashion sneakers – these Chelsea boots just smarten up my whole look. They are SO comfy as well.
